Retractable doors blur the lines between in and out

An older house with enormous character lacked any connection to the rear yard, especially for these clients who entertain on a regular basis.  With the house set into the grade, a rear addition and deck allowed an opportunity to completely open a new kitchen wall to the outdoors. This created both an outdoor bar and an open kitchen to compliment a new breakfast room, mudroom and in-law suite directly below.
