Once pastural farmlands nestled alongside the Charles River, this site is sits perched on a high terrace looking out over wood lands and the river beyond. Being set into a modest hill the house responds by terracing the patio and play yard to adjust to the grade change and provide a statelier feel looking down the hill. The house was scaled down into three distinct volumes with glass connectors that reflect a more human scale and echo the old agrarian buildings that once dotted the landscape.
